Anthony “Tony” Delmore, 59, of East Grand Forks, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 3, 2026.
Anthony John Delmore was born January 25, 1967 in Grand Forks to Jeff and Bonnie (Baumgartner) Delmore. He grew up in Roseau, MN and graduated from high school there in 1985. Following high school, Tony attended UND before joining the US Marine Corps. He served until his honorable discharge in 1993. His military training in aircraft maintenance administration led to careers at airports in both Paducah, KY and Grand Forks. Most recently Tony worked for CHS Asphalt. Tony was proud of his time in the Marine Corps and joined the East Grand Forks VFW. He also was a fan of Victory Motorcycles and was an avid reader of military history. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, and following UND Sioux Hockey.
Tony is survived by his parents, Jeff and Bonnie Delmore of Roseau, MN; sister Michele Delmore of Grand Forks; brother Michael (Lindsay) Delmore of East Grand Forks; nieces Lauren Caroline Delmore and Lilah Belle Delmore of East Grand Forks; aunts and uncles Barbara (Al) Blumer, Ed Schmidt, Sandra Delmore, Deborah (Bob) Duncan, Timothy (Sharon) Delmore, Mike (Sandy) Baumgartner, Craig (Monica) Baumgartner, Kelly (Geoff) Gorvin; and great-aunts and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Dr. Jack and Lorraine Delmore and Ed and Ann Baumgartner, uncle Brian Baumgartner, uncle John “Booker” Delmore and aunt Kathleen “Tootie” (Delmore) Schmidt.
A Memorial Service will be held in the summer in Roseau where he will be laid to rest.
