Alma Stotts passed away on September 22, 2025, in Roseau, MN.

Alma was born on July 1, 1933, in Roseau to Sig and Anna (Smedsmo) Bakken. She grew up on the family farm in Spruce Township. After attending country school through eighth grade, Alma graduated from Roseau High School. Alma was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Spruce Lutheran Church.

Alma was united in marriage to Robert Stotts on September 20, 1953. While Bob served in the Army, they lived for a brief time in Fort Riley, Kansas, before moving back to Roseau. After Bob started work with the Minnesota Highway Patrol, they lived for four years in Hallock, Minnesota, before returning to Roseau.

After brief employment with Polaris, Alma worked at her favorite job in the TMH department at Roseau School, retiring in the late 1990s.

Alma enjoyed many hobbies and interests, including sports – especially following the Minnesota Vikings and attending a game every year. She also enjoyed bowling, cross-country skiing, bicycling, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and many other activities.

She is survived by her children: Bryan (Pam) of Lisbon, ND; Jason of St. Paul; Judy Suppa of Fargo; Blake of Beulah, ND; and Richard (Rachel) of Moorhead. Her sister Anita (Ray) Dunham of Grand Forks. Grandchildren Nicholas, Eric, Jordan, Bailey, Reese, Annika, Addyson, Connor, Brennen, Kaitlyn, and Robert. Also five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; and siblings Sadie Dunham, Einar Bakken, Thelma Olson, Torris Bakken, and Sonja Heyen.
