Adolph Louis Erickson passed away on January 26, 2024 at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau. He was born May 16, 1930 to Cornelius and Ida (Larson) Erickson in Nereson township near Badger, MN. In 1941 his family moved to Wannaska where they farmed. They belong to Riverside Church where Adolph was confirmed. In 1953 he married Evelyn Swanson. They were blessed with eight children, Dianne, Kim, Lew, Connie, Mike, Carson, Neal and Lyle.
Adolph worked at Polaris for 27 yrs. He was a farmer at heart. He liked livestock, especially horses, sheep and beef cattle.
Adolph enjoyed his family, church, good music, hunting, hunting camp activities, fishing and hockey games, (especially when his kids or grand kids were playing).
Adolph is survived by his wife of 70 yrs Evelyn. Dianne Bergstrom (Gary), Kim, Mrs. Lew Erickson (Kathy), Connie Rutherford, Carson (Julie), Lyle (Renae) and 39 grand and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Cornelius and Ida Erickson, sons Lew, Mike and Neal, son-in-law Robert Rutherford, parents-in-law Albert and Beth Swanson, sisters and brothers-in-law Orval and Ina Mortenson, Cora and Stanley Bergstrom, Gena and Charles Oakley, Esther and Art Hanson, Doris and Larry Hillard, Thora and Arne Beito, Annie and Glen Rygh, Gloria and LeRoy Swanson, and several nieces and nephews.
Adolph will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May God bless the memory of Adolph.
A Funeral Service for Adolph L. Erickson of Wannaska, MN will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11:00AM at Riverside Lutheran Church in Wannaska, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Mickinock Cemetery in Wannaska, MN.
