Memorial services for Adam Lykken of Warroad, MN, and formerly of Roseau, will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.
Adam Grant Lykken passed away on May 18, 2021 at his home in Warroad, MN at the age of 31. He was born in Roseau, MN on September 3, 1989 to Daniel and Susie (Svean) Lykken.
Adam grew up in Roseau and attended school there. He graduated from Roseau High School in 2008. He enlisted in the US Air Force in March 2009 and served his country for four years. After his discharge from the Air Force, Adam attended school at Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, MN. From there he enrolled at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science. Adam then went to work at Digi-Key Corporation in Thief River Falls, MN. More recently he was working at Marvin’s in Warroad, MN.
Adam loved playing hockey for Roseau High School and was a part of the 2007 State AA Championship team. He enjoyed collecting and shooting firearms, hunting, off road riding (motorcycles and wheelers), and working on cars and trucks. Adam also rode a lot of street bikes with his dad.
He loved his family and friends. He took excellent care of his mother and was very responsible. You could always count on him. He was always the first to chip in and help whenever help was needed. He also loved dogs and dogs loved him. Adam had a very special bond with his grandpa Myron from a very early age.
Adam is survived by his parents Dan and Susie Lykken of Warroad; brother Andrew Lykken of Warroad, sister Priscilla Mattson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Donald and Florence Lykken, Myron Svean and Pat Loyland; and his uncle Danny Svean.
