One of the genuinely nice people in Warroad. Always a bright smile and a happy hello. I missed seeing him after he retired. He helped me a lot when I was learning how to take care of guy stuff when I was a young man. Sorry for your loss.

Willard was one that knew me all my life. Was impressed as far back as I can remember. Scott Marvin said what I have felt about Willard, always.
From hauling in a load of Grain to the Elevator #1 up town, was about 15, with a Smile would say, we got room for another 200 bushel of Wheat. Etc. Last time in Warroad, we were, Reminiscing About The Good Old Days.

We always looked forward to seeing Willard when we (myself and my sons Theo & Spencer) would come up to deer hunt at Roosevelt. We all thought he was a great guy. Our condolences to all of you.

My heart is saddened for all of us, yet full of joy for Uncle Willard as he is Home. He was a piece of many of my early years, from being such a hard working neighbor that always had a smile, to a part of church, and so fun to run over and have a cup of coffee with. Many prayers as you remember his love and life.

Willard was a long time friend of our family and a visit at lunch at the LC always involved a good conversation about families, farming and lots of great memories! Willard was a favorite hunting partner of Uncle Jack's and Mom enjoyed his company during those lunch time chats. He will be missed.

Such a great guy. Always a smile and a kind word. Willard was always a day brighter for our mom. Loved to talk about his kids. One of "The Greatest Generation" who we will miss. If we all whistled like Willard, the world would be a happier place.
