Susan Lynn Gladen

Memorial services for Susan L. Gladen of New Braunfels, TX and formerly of Laporte, MN, will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Kabekona Community Church.  Interment will be a the Evergreen Cemetery.

Susan “Sue” Lynn Gladen, 58, of New Braunfels, TX, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 4, 2018. Sue was born on September 24, 1959 in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of Glenn and Darlene (Pederson) Gladen. After her graduation from Laporte High School, Sue moved to Bismarck, ND, where she worked as a certified nursing assistant and earned an associate of applied science degree from Bismarck Junior College. She graduated there with honors. On May 2, 1990, Genna, Sue’s pride and joy, was born and shortly after, they moved back to Kabekona, MN. While in Kabekona, Sue enjoyed a position at the bank in Cass Lake until they moved to New Braunfels, TX, which they called home. While there, Sue worked in bookkeeping for T Bar M Resort, and later, in accounting for Schlitterbahn Resort. In her spare time Sue enjoyed crocheting, a talent she used to bless many friends and relatives. Sue also enjoyed fishing, tubing on the river with her daughter, and every moment she had with her granddaughters. Sue will be tenderly remembered for her compassion toward those who were hurting, and for her deep love toward family and friends.
Sue is survived by her daughter Gennafer (Dustin) Whitaker, and granddaughters, Kabryna and Tayla, all of Midland, TX; her mother, Darlene Gladen; brothers, Clayton (Wanda) Gladen, Michael (Gale) Gladen, Timothy (Connie) Gladen, and sisters, Debra (Roger) Zubke, Laurel Bessler, Vicki (John) Batten, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Gladen, and brother-in-law, Glen Bessler.
