Sally I. Scharping

Sally Irene Scharping was born July 16,1957 in Des Moines Iowa to Mervin and Irene Brott.

 Sally graduated from Brewster high school in 1975 and lived the majority of her life in southwest MN.  

 On June 20th 1978 Sally was united in marriage to Dale Scharping.  The couple fell in love after just one dance at the Brewster legion.  They made their residence on Dale’s family homestead and raised 6 children and were blessed with 20 grandchildren.  Sally loved her family, music, dancing, karaoke, flowers, and home decorating.  There was no home project she couldn’t tackle.  

 She had a passion for nursing and went back to school as a busy mother of 6 but managed to graduate from MN west community college with high honors.   She worked primarily as an ICU nurse and later in her career was able to work as a traveling nurse and see the country on many adventures with her husband Dale.  Her favorite being Hawaii. 

 The couple eventually moved off the homestead and settled in Roseau MN where Sally worked as a dental assistant in a small office much like she did before the couple were married.

 Sally was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Jan 2019 and went to meet Jesus on July 24, 2019. 

 Sally’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and children Adam (Angela) Wolff of Jackson MN, Sarah Espinoza of Chula Vista CA, Nathan Scharping of Roseau MN,  Kyle (Heidi) Scharping of Okabena MN, Hannah (Luke) Kroger of West Fargo ND, Tanner(Courtney) Scharping of Luverne MN and 6 siblings: Marilyn, Mike, Audrey, Annie, Tony, and Mervin and her mother Irene.  She is preceded in death by her father Mervin.  

 Services will be held at the Abundant Life Tabernacle, 627 Clary St. Worthington, MN 56187 at 10 am on August 10th with a celebration of life to follow at Round Lake Vineyards and Winery, 30124 St. Hwy 264, Round lake, MN 56167 from 11-3 pm.
