May I offer my sincere condolences to the Arnesen family for your loss. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things in life to deal with. Lovingly, the Bible assures us that God sees your pain and promises a beautiful future where he will “swallow up death” and “wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) For additional comfort, please see the article “When a Loved One Dies” on www.jw.org. May you find comfort from the God of all comfort (2 Cor 1:3,4).

To me Jack, (John) Mary was like the woman that Solomon says was above the price of rubies found in Prov. 31:10-30
“10. Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price [is] far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of 17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18 She perceiveth that her merchandise [is] good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue [is] the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband [also], and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain: [but] a woman [that] feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.”
Jack, to me Mary model these verse because she realized the value of being wise: "V 10. Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price [is] far above rubies. V 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue [is] the law of kindness."
Any time over the years that I was around Mary she was always nice, helpful and kind. Her smile make you feel at home and when she talked to you, you knew she was telling you the truth (just talking about me now)! Also she made you felt like, this was a woman who was glad she was a woman and knew what she could do.
In doing so I knew she had a sincere heart. In fact one day I was over and she had heard that my son Thomas was no longer working as a cook at Sportsman she told me if he needs a job just call me. How she knew I don’t know but she could see a need.
I don’t know about others but for me it’s been a joy just to be able to sit at the table and eat with you’ll when I worked with the state. Your family always made me feel like I counted. I don’t know the pain that you’re going through I’ve never lost a wife. And what I’ll say will not ease your pain, but I’ve been blessed to have worked along side your dad, uncle, Mom and you boys over the years.
Rocky Point has now suffered another great lost with Mary passing away. Mary during her life was rewarded by God with a smile, a joy that was felt by others, and wisdom that lasted until Jesus called her home to be with her. And speaking for me all of that lifted you up for you truly saw a soul that knew her God and loved her husband children grandchildren and friends.
I can not be there Jack I’m due to leave early Thursday morning. But know that I’ll be praying for you and you’re children and for those who do come to service. Because I know that during the service someone will say something about Mary that will make a difference in someone else life or their marriage. That you can be assured of! God bless I’ll be in touch.
Simper Fi. Thomas Parr Williamson.
