Memorial services for Marilyn Isabel Sharp Lund will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 2 PM at First Lutheran Church in Salol, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery near Roseau.
Marilyn Isabel Sharp Lund passed away September 12, 2016 at the Warroad Senior Living Center at the age of 79.
Marilyn was born on May 28, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to Ole Martin Hanson and Velma H. (Hamlin). She moved to Salol, MN in 1946 and attended school in Salol, MN, Roseau High School and later graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1955. She lived in Canyon Country, CA and worked as the head accountant for Six Flags Magic Mountain. She married Norman Paul Sharp and had three children. After her retirement, she moved back to Salol, MN where she met Kenneth Lund and were later married.
Marilyn had a zest for life and always had fun. She enjoyed traveling, visiting many places with her motorhome. She loved to cook, play pool and darts. She was a former member of the Warroad Eagles Axillary.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Lynn) Sharp of Salol, MN; step-children, Brenda (Tom) Grawberger, Teri (Doug) Magnusson, Roger (Tunna) Lund, Tracy Lund and Tim (Jimmy) Lund; grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Brittany, Shannon, Josh, Andy, Gabe, Michaela, Olivia, Brandon, Gunnar, Jordyn, Jess, Jakob, Kennedy, Mike, Ryan, Kris, Spencer, Brandon, Kailey and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Norman Paul Sharp and Kenneth Lund; sons, Michael Sharp and Donald Sharp; and brothers, Harold Hanson and Martin Douglas Hanson.
