Margaret "Peggy" J. McDonald

Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret "Peggy" McDonald of Minnetonka, MN, and formerly of Baudette, MN will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baudette.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church; interment will be at the Elm Park Cemetery in Baudette.

Peggy McDonald, age 86, of Minnetonka, MN and formerly of Baudette, MN passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 in Minneapolis.  She was born in Baudette, MN on August 4, 1932.  She is survived by her sister, Gertrude Swentik Bullock of Buffalo, MN; brothers, Leonard Swentik of Aurora, MN and George Swentik of Baudette; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret (Hoscheid) and John Swentik; husband, Bernard McDonald; brothers, Peter and Jimmy Swentik; and sisters, Mary Anne Swentik Knutson, Jeanie Swentik and Theresa Swentik Nicholas.

Peggy was raised in Baudette and graduated from Baudette High School.  She then moved to Maple Lake, MN and later to Las Vegas, NV where she met and married Bernard McDonald.  They made their home in Las Vegas and later in Baudette.  After Bernie passed, she moved to Mesa, AZ and was there for many years.  She moved back to MN 5 years ago to be closer to family.
