Kyle Richard de Molée

A Memorial Service for Kyle de Molée of Warroad, MN will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 10:00AM at the Warroad Baptist Church in Warroad, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Warroad, MN. 

Kyle passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the age of 27.

Kyle Richard de Molée was born in Roseau, MN on March 17, 1992 to Frederic and Vonda (Nash) de Molée.

He was raised in Warroad, MN and graduated from Warroad High School in 2010. While in school Kyle played basketball, football and baseball. He was involved in the robotics program and student council. At a young age, Kyle started his long involvement in the 4-H program, which lead to many great friendships. Kyle graduated from North Dakota State University and found employment as Roseau County’s Emergency Management Director until 2016.  He left this position to pursue his love of writing.

Kyle planted wildflowers, shrubs and trees. He raised his beloved goats and geese. He always looked forward to his annual trip to the BWCA with his best friend Jake Boyd and other close friends. Kyle was also very proud of his middle name that came from his great uncle Richard and of his military heritage. Kyle loved being a big brother and a little brother.

Kyle had the deepest appreciation and love of nature. He found wonderment in watching the budding of trees and flowers; seeing a fox run across the yard or the soaring of an eagle. Kyle enjoyed the writings of Dr. Seuss or Aristotle. Kyle studied the simplicities and complexities of life. He knew that knowledge would remove bigotry, hate and greed. He loved all humanity; regardless of what they had, where they were from or what they believed. Kyle made us all better with his love, sincerity and compassion.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon Nash; and grandparents, Edgar and Eleanor de Molée.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Frederic and Vonda (Nash) de Molée; siblings, Antwan (Nicole), Jonathon, Bryce, Robert, Krysta; nephew, Charles Peterson; niece, Jazmine de Molée; grandmother, Marie Nash; Uncle Dan (Laurel) de Molée, Aunt Yvette (Lyle) Johnson, Uncle Brad (Michelle) Nash, Uncle Mitch Nash, and many cousins.
