Funeral services for Jeffrey Clayton Carlson, age 51 of Roseau, MN on Monday, November 27th at 11 AM at Moe Lutheran Church in Roseau. A visitation will be one hour prior at the church.
Jeffrey Clayton Carlson passed away on November 20th, 2017, at the age of 51 after a long battle with Diabetes.
Jeff was born in Grand Forks, ND on October 6, 1966 to Barbara (Monson) and Clayton Carlson. He moved with his family to Maryland and when returning, Jeff attended Roseau schools where he was active in sports and music and graduated from Roseau High School in 1985. He then attended the University of North Dakota where he graduated with a degree in Accounting.
He married Debra Gieseke in June 1993 and together they had one son, Gabriel Carlson in 1999. Gabriel is the pride and joy of Jeff and their families.
Jeff loved participating and watching many sports. He enjoyed coaching Gabe’s Cal Ripken baseball team for two years. He also was an avid hunter and enjoyed the company of family and friends while doing so.
He was actively involved in the community as he was Chairman of Moe Lutheran Church and he worked for Dan Fulton Accounting, Geroy's Building Center, B & B Plumbing and Heating, and Border State Bank.
Jeff is survived by his son, Gabe Carlson and parents Barbara and Clayton Carlson of Roseau, and brother, Michael Carlson of Fargo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Ruth and Edwin Monson, Lena and Pete Carlson and sister-in-law Kaela Carlson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 27th at 11:00 am at Moe Lutheran Church in Roseau, MN with a visitation/viewing at 10:00 am.
