A Memorial Service for Irma L. Kezar of Warroad, MN will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 3:00PM at the Warroad Baptist Church in Warroad, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Silent City Cemetery in Roosevelt, MN.
Irma passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Sanford in Fargo at the age of 72.
Irma Louise Kezar was born on March 4, 1944 to Julius and Evangeline (Battles) Lewis in Roosevelt, MN. She attended grade school in Roosevelt, MN and later attended Williams High School. Irma married Riley Lee Kezar of Viking, MN on her grandma Battles farm December 9, 1961. The couple moved to Roosevelt, MN and then to Warroad, MN in 1974. Irma started working at Marvin Windows and Doors on September 23, 1971 and worked there for 35 years before retiring of September 18, 2007. She enjoyed ice fishing, reading, crocheting, cross stitching, baking, cooking, canning, most of all she enjoyed her family and friends. Irma was baptized by Pastor Scott Stoll in Hayes Lake on 2002 with her husband Riley.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two infant daughters; infant grandson; infant nephew; infant great nephew; great nephew; brother, Julius Lewis Jr.
Irma is survived by her husband, Riley Kezar; children, Amy (Dennis) Freeman of Warroad, MN, Dennis (Tina) Kezar of Warroad, MN; seven grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Bourman; brother-in-law, Bob Kezar; sister’s-in-law, Milly Pokrzywinski, Violet (Marlin) Parker, Marion Urtel; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
