Private graveside services will be held for Estella Flateland of Crookston, MN, and formerly of Badger, MN.

Estella E. Flateland, a longtime Badger, MN resident, passed away on November 8, 2018 at her home in Crookston, MN at the age of 85.

Estella was born on July 7, 1933 in Donna, Texas to Soledad Nieto. She grew up in Texas and joined the U.S. Air Force on October 3, 1952 and served until November 16, 1953. She and Arley Flateland were married on January 12, 1954.

She enjoyed sewing, upholstering furniture, crocheting, knitting and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Marilyn) Flateland of Crookston, Belinda (Dan) Dunrud of Badger, MN, Teri Black of Texas, Penny Berger of Crookston, MN, Julie Nichols of Texas and Kelly Berger of Missouri; grandchildren, Stephanie, Megan, Christopher, Amber, Eic, Jason, Richie, Randy, Danielle, Zach and Alicia. She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Arley and her siblings.
