Thinking of you Eleanore and family at this time of huge loss. David was an amazing man who lived life to the fullest. His love for his family was huge. Growing up it was always a fun time to go to Roseau with my Dad Geri Thomas to see David at the Polaris plant. Hugs to you all. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all. Saying good bye is never easy.

YES, I HAVE LOST ONE OF MY OLD DEER HUNTING FRIENDS. SEEMS THAT WHEN I FIRST CAME TO ROSEAU I NOTED THAT EVERYONE HERE HAD A NICKNAME! WHY AND WHO STARTED IT I DONT KNOW BUT DAVIS WAS ONE OF OUR DEER HUNTING FRIENDS AT JIM ADAMS NORTHWEST ANGLE OLD CABIN AILON WITH JIM ADMS, BILL ADAMS, STEVEN RUGLAND DAN CARVER ND OTHERS OVER THE YEARS. DVID ALSO HAD ONE. SO AFTER LL THESE YEARS I SAY FAREWELL TO ONE OF MY DEERHUNTING FRIENS OVER THE YEARS. GOODBYE TO "SHORTCUT" FROM A FELLOW DEERHUNTING FRIEND. JIM SMITH OF ROSEAU. I have so many fond memories of David and the entire family from his purchase of the land that their house sits on from my Dad Hjalmer Sunsten. They lived in our basement the year the house was being built. May God give you comfort in knowing that he is in a better place now with his Lord. Sorry we will not be able to attend the services.

To the family and friends and former co-workers,
My husband and I have been blessed to have been brought into this family by our daughter and we were fortunate enough to have met David once about 7 yrs ago. What an amazing man who accomplished so much and was such a true human being who cared so much for others. He was the most humble man but yet had accomplished so much. I know for us our visit will be cherished and his legacy will live on.

We have very pleasant memories of David and Eleanor who were our hosts in 2001 when we as Dala Folk Dancers from Mora, MN attended a festival in Roseau; and stayed at their home.
