Carol Ann Nelson passed away on December 10, 2017 in rural Salol, MN at the age of 76. Carol was born on February 11, 1941 in Morris, MN to Lena (Benson) and Fredrick Schmidgall. She and Richard Earl Nelson were married.
Carol loved her flowers and gardening. Every summer, she would plant many flowers and took the time to tend to them. She also enjoyed crocheting and reading her Harlequin Romance books; and just being outside in the summertime and being with her family.
She is survived by her children, Richard Nelson, Roger (Rhonda) Nelson, Danny Nelson, Duane “Dewey” Nelson, Geri (Conrad) Bourman, Cindy (fiancé, Justin) Nelson and Christine Nelson; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Jaunita (Norman) Hodenfield and nephew, Brian (Karen) Hodenfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Nelson; and nephew, Brad Hodenfield.
