A memorial visitation for Andy Levi Jacobson of Grygla, MN (and formerly of Roseau) will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 5-7 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Andy died unexpectedly at the family farm on June 17, 2019. He was 27.
Andy was born in Coon Rapids, MN on November 2, 1991. He was baptized at Moe Lutheran Church in Roseau, MN. Andy attended school in Roseau through tenth grade, and then transferred to Grygla School, graduating from there in 2010. After high school Andy enlisted in the Army, serving until his honorable discharge in 2013. He then served in the Army National Guard until 2016. After his honorable discharge from the Army National Guard he enrolled in the welding course at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN. He received his diploma in welding in 2017. He was currently working as a millwright and welder in the construction business.
Andy enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding, watching the Minnesota Wild hockey team and target shooting. He was also a great “story teller”. He was proud of his military service and enjoyed reading and learning about history.
Andy is survived by his father Terry (Tonya) Jacobson of Roseau; mother Linnae (Scott) Johnson of Alaska; son Dominick Jacobson; sisters Mykayla (Jacob) Macy, Tiana Jacobson; brothers Ryden, Maverick and Hunter Jacobson; grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a niece. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; grandpa Louis Knochenmus; aunt Sonia Jacobson; cousins Skylar Francisco and Anthony Campins.
