Allan N. Wold

Funeral services for Allan Wold of Roseau, MN will be held on Friday, September 29th at 2 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau.  A visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau.  Interment will be at the Moe-Rose Cemetery.  Military Honors by the Roseau Memorial Honor Guard.  Allan passed away on September 21st at the VA Medical Center in Fargo at the age of 81.

Allan N. Wold was born to Clarence and Helga (Magnuson) Wold in Roseau, MN on July 30, 1936. He attended grade school at Ross, and high school in Roseau and Crookston AC. Allan was very proud of his military career.  He first joined the Air Force in January of 1955 and served in Germany as an Air Policeman. He joined the Army in 1960 and was stationed in Korea where he served as a Tele Communicator and worked with code cryptography.  He later served in the Air National Guard as fuel specialist for the Happy Hooligans finishing his military career as Staff Sergeant.

Allan was foremost a proud dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, photography and visiting family and friends. Allan will be remembered as being very inventive, always dreaming up better ways of doing things.  The Hopper Topper was one of his inventions.  Allan worked in manufacturing, farming and owned his own business working with fiberglass and plastics. 

Allan is survived by daughters, Helene (Roger) Wiskow of Roseau, Karen (Al) Katzberg of Lorton VA, Teresa (Brad) Fevold of Roseau, and Pam (Rich) Fredrickson of Roseau; Wife Barbara (Betty) Wold; Grandchildren Denise (Michael) Montgomery, Darren Wiskow, Derek Fevold, Jordan Fevold, Matthew Fevold, Liana Fevold, Zachary Fevold, Amanda Fredrickson, Laura (David) Putman and Karina Fredrickson; Great-Grandchildren, Oliver, David, Kevin, and Piper Montgomery; Brothers, Donald(Carol) Wold, Ivan (Barb) Wold, Gary (Jane) Wold; Sisters, Clarice (Orlean) Johnson, Elaine (Ray) Anderson, Eloise (Dennis) Sobtzak, Diane (Bruce) Tolzmann and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Allan is preceded in death by parents Clarence and Helga Wold, Nephew Wes Gustafson, Niece Rita Sobtzak, bothers-in-law Gordon Gustafson and Rodney Webster.

Allan passed away September 21st, 2017 at the VA medical center in Fargo ND at the age of 81.
