Susie A. Lykken

Memorial services for Susie Lykken of Warroad, MN will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad.  Visitation will be one hour prior with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.

Susie Ann Lykken passed away on June 15, 2021 after a long, courageous battle with cancer, at her home in Warroad, MN.

 Susie was born on August 20, 1958 in Thief River Falls, MN to Patricia (Mosher) and Myron Svean.  She graduated from Thief River Falls High School and later received her nurse’s aide certificate.  She worked several jobs including, O.B. in Thief River Falls, home daycare in Roseau, the Roseau School and Oak Crest Nursing home, in addition to raising her three children.  She and Daniel G. Lykken were married on December 31, 1984 in Roseau.

 Susie enjoyed cooking, housekeeping, gardening, decorating her house, outdoor activities and spending time on the water.  She loved her family very much and would do anything to help them.  She also loved to have a dog around.  She was a member of the Warroad Garden Club and Zion Lutheran Church.

 She is survived by her husband Dan of Warroad; children, Priscilla (Jon) Mattson of Concord, NC and Andrew Lykken of Warroad; grandchildren, Bethany, Mary, Jaxon and Hudsen; siblings, Marianne (Steve) Thorstad and Julie (Mike) Holen.  She was preceded in death by her son, Adam; parents, Myron and Pat; and brother, Danny.
