Allen C. Nieman

Allen Clarence Nieman passed away June 16, 2022, at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock, MN after his fight with lung cancer at the age of 75.

Allen Nieman was born on July 10, 1946, in Winner, SD to Clarence and Caroline (Ernst) Nieman. He graduated from Braham High School in 1965. Allen then went on to Pine County Technical College        where he received a 2-year degree in Automotive.

Allen served in the US Army from 1966-1969. In 1967 he was deployed to South Korea and served one tour.

On June 15, 1968, Allen married Christine Lewis. They had just celebrated 54 years together. Together they had two children Danielle and Rex.

They lived in Isanti, MN where Allen did Finished Concrete, and he then worked as a Machine Operator for 10 years. In 1993 they moved to Warroad, MN where he worked at Marvin Windows and Door until he retired in 2010. He was enjoying his retirement.

Allen enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his family and going to his
grandchildren’s sporting and school events. Allen loved to read and you could always see a book in his back pocket. He would talk to anyone and tell stories to anyone that would listen. He loved his goodies.

Allen is survived by his wife of 54 years, Christine. Son; Rex (Brenda) Nieman Grandchildren; Alex, Austin, Dillon Nieman and Tavi Watson. 

Allen is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Caroline, Daughter Danielle, Granddaughter Caroline, Brothers; Ron and Rex Nieman, Father and Mother In-Law Abe and Dorothy Lewis, Sister In-Law Kim.

Celebration of Allen’s Life will be Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Lake Town Hall in Warroad from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Military Honors will be provided by the Warroad American Legion and VFW.
