Sonia L. Dahl

A memorial service for Sonia Lee Dahl of Salol, MN will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 3:00PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Sonia Lee Dahl, 70, passed away on March 16, 2024 at the Warroad Senior Living Center.  Sonia was born to Leonard and Rachel (Fish) Olson in Roseau, MN on May 20, 1953. She was raised in International Falls, attended school there and went on to graduate from Roseau High School.  Following high school she worked at REM in Roseau.  She met and married Jeffery  Dahl on October 11,1974.  Jeff was in the military and they moved to North Carolina, returning to Roseau in 1981.  Together they had 3 children.  Sonia started at Polaris in 1989, working there for 29 years before retiring.

Sonia enjoyed going to the casino, watching gameshows and reading. She liked being by herself as well as talking on the phone.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sonia is survived by her children Tony Dahl, Tim Dahl and Mandy Fuller; sister Virginia Dahl; grandchildren Alexandra Dahl, Amy Dahl, Hailey Dahl, Cheyenne Fuller and Caden Goodin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerome Olson and baby boy Olson.
