Roger Foldoe Obituary

Roger Jay Foldoe, was born in Lynnwood, California, on

December 5th, 1952, and passed away on April 5th, 2024. He was the cherished son of Edwin Foldoe and Idell Foldoe (Pincus). Roger grew up in Roseau and graduated from Roseau High School in 1971.

On September 8th, 1984, Roger exchanged vows with his beloved wife, Debra, forging a partnership grounded in love and commitment.

Roger dedicated 21 years to Lake of the Woods Foods, retiring in 2020.

Having endured the loss of his father Edwin, mother Idell, siblings, Edwin Jr., Timothy, Ellen, and Carol, as well as his nephew Mitchell. Roger is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Debra; his loving son, Brandon, of East Grand Forks; his daughter, Shauna (Braun), of Roosevelt, MN; and his sister, Norma (Dave), of Sauk Centre, MN. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Roger found joy in life's simple pleasures, from cheering on the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Wild and The Lake of the Woods Bears to sharing memorable camping trips with loved ones. He had a passion for exploring back roads, immersing himself in Western literature, playing cribbage and engaging in friendly competitions of pool and horseshoes.

Beyond his personal interests, Roger was a dedicated volunteer, lending his time and support to various organizations, including the food shelf, Brink Center, Salvation Army, and the Little Brother/Big Sister program. His spirit touched the lives of many in his community. Roger will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Graveside Service will take place later this spring at Elm Park Cemetery.
