A funeral service for Larry Gustafson of rural Roseau will be held on Friday, September 11, at the Roseau Community Church in Roseau at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Larry Gustafson passed away peacefully on September 1, 2015 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 79.
Willard Larry Gustafson was born on the family farm in Micknock Township of Roseau County on July 23, 1936 to Myrtle (Carlson) and Elias Ferdinand Gustafson. He attended the Pencer School. He farmed dairy, small grains and hay for most of his life. He enjoyed his work on the farm; and loved driving his John Deere tractors. He was a former member of the Salem Lutheran Church and Bethel Mission Covenant Church.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Gustafson of Roseau; step-children, Paul Syverson (Gail), Pat Hagen (Leslie), Eileen McDonaugh, Donna Burkel (George), Cliff Syverson, Rose Grugal (James) and Pam Matthews; sister, Hildie Neimela (Jim); and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brothers, Leland and Loren; step-son, Daniel; and step-grandsons, Dale and Daniel, Jr.
