Tillie Kimble

A mass of Christian Burial for Tillie Kimble will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at 10:30 AM at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Falun (rural Roseau, MN).  A visitation/wake will be on Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at St. Philip's Catholic Church.  Interment will be at St. Philip's Cemetery. 

Tillie Kimble was born December 3, 1924, to Theodore and Josephine (Morzak) Grugal on the family farm in Mickinock Township of Roseau County, Roseau, MN. She had seven brothers and three sisters. She attended school in Pencer.

Tillie married Ernie Kimble and they farmed in Mickinock Township. They had one daughter, Darlene. After Ernie’s death, Tillie worked at Marvin Windows and Doors for many years. Tillie was a member of St. Phillip’s Catholic Church. Her faith and her church were very important to her. She had a mind of her own and wanted to serve others. Tillie will be remembered most for her kindness toward everyone.

Tillie passed away on May 22, 2017, at the LifeCare Roseau Manor. She was 92 years old.

Tillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernie; daughter Darlene Roberts; brothers Phillip “Buster”, Frank, Stanley, Theodore, Joey, Jim and John; sisters Josey Hage, Agnes Vertina, and Marie Hipshir; two grandchildren David and Diane.

She is survived by grandchildren Dean Storstad of Fargo, ND, Darren Storstad of Grand Forks, ND, Kevin (Maureen) Storstad of Grand Forks, ND, and Carla (Sam) Storstad-Braaten of Manvel, ND, many nieces and nephews.
