A Funeral Service for Robert R. Berger of Roseau, MN will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 10:00AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Interment will be held at Moe-Rose Cemetery in Roseau, MN.

Robert passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 in Roseau, MN at the age of 69.

Robert R. Berger was born on November 17, 1946 in Roseau, MN to Russell and Vivian (Bergstrom) Berger. Robert was raised in the Roseau area and was both baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He graduated from Roseau High School in 1964. Throughout his years in school Robert was involved in many activities including hockey, track and 4H. After school he spent 6 years in the National Guard. Robert worked various jobs as an electrician in both commercial and residential, following in his father’s footsteps, all the while pursuing his license as a master electrician. When Robert became a master electrician he started his own business, Berger Electric in Roseau, MN.

Robert enjoyed many different things in life, most of which involved his son Travis. He loved to hunt, snowmobile and fish with Travis. They also spent many hours playing music together. He enjoyed spending time at the lake cabin. Robert liked anything motorized as long as he could go fast. He was a member of a bowling league in Roseau, MN and the American Legion.

Robert is survived by his mother, Vivian Berger of Roseau; brother, John (Ida) Berger of Moose Lake, MN; sisters, Kathryn A. Harren of Roseau, MN, Margaret (Jim) Peluso of Bismarck, ND; very special friend, Karla Anderson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, Travis Berger; father, Russell Berger; grandparents and brother-in-law, Allen Harren.
