Patricia Elaine Cole passed away peacefully on June 19, 2016 at the LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau at the age of 81.

Pat was born on March 5, 1935 to Clifford and Grace (O’Donnell) Comstock in Roseau, MN.  She grew up in Falun and later graduated from Roseau High School in 1953.  She and George “Kud” Cole were married in 1953 and were married for 45 years.  In addition to raising her six children, Pat worked at Polaris Industries and Marvin Windows and Doors until her retirement at the age of 63.  She was a member of the Roseau VFW and the Roseau Eagles.  The last three years, she has resided at the Warroad Senior Living Center.

Pat really enjoyed going to the cabin at Flag Island, and did so for over thirty years.  She was an avid bird watcher and loved to pick wild flowers.  Pat loved nature and passed that love to her entire family.  She also loved to fish, and usually out-fished everyone.  Pat was a master handywoman.  Whatever needed repair, she somehow managed to put it back together and it worked!  She was also an avid reader and an excellent cook; and would often cook for large groups of family members.  Pat loved her family and especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mitchell (Irene) Cole of Warroad, Deborah Cole of Salol, MN, Vicky (Randy) Huffman of Forman, ND, Forrest (Kay) Cole of Baudette, MN and Shari Cole of Malung, MN; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Duane Comstock of Roseau, MN.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Clifford; husband, George “Kud”; son, Brian Cole; siblings, Jack Comstock, Marvel Garvll, and Shirley Jeffrey; nephew, Jamie Jeffrey; and great-great-grandson, Brantley Foster.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 24th at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseau.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau.  Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery
