Otto J. Arneson

A Funeral Service for Otto J. Arneson of Grand Junction, CO formerly of Roseau, MN, will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10:00AM at Concordia Lutheran Church in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Concordia Cemetery.

Otto James Arneson was born on February 27, 1930 in Ross, MN to Olaf Arneson and Jennie (Byfuglien).  He attended school in Ross, MN and later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He and Delores (Kranda) were married June 5, 1953 and had two children.

Otto worked in the California area as a Masonry Contractor for many years.  He enjoyed spending his time traveling.  He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening.  He will be remembered as a hard-worker, and someone with a wonderful sense of humor.

Otto passed away on November 16, 2015 at his home in Grand Junction, Colorado at the age of 85.

He is survived by his children; Scott (Gina) Arneson of Grand Junction, CO, and  Mary (Ken) Barrett of Nipomo, CA; grandchildren, Cody, Lynn, Krista and Hannah; siblings, Glen (Donna) Arneson of Thief River Falls, MN, Milton Arneson of Moorhead, Elaine (Arnie) Turner of California; and sister-in-law, Marlys Arneson of Roseau.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores in 2014; and brother, Jimmy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28th at 10 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church in Ross.  Visitation one hour prior with interment at Concordia Cemetery.  Military rites by the Roseau Memorial Honor Guard.
