Linda Ruth Levenhagen

A Memorial service for Linda Levenhagen of Strandquist will be held on Saturday, May 30 at Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Linda Ruth Levenhagen was born on June 27, 1959 in Roseau, MN to Ruth (Sigurdson) and Lloyd W. Thompson.  She graduated from the Ross L. Gray High School in Sprague in 1977.  During her high school years she also took vocational-tech classes in Roseau.

On February 11, 1989 Linda married Daniel Levenhagen in Lake Bronson, MN.  They lived in Salol for two years and then moved to the Twin Cities in 1990.  Linda worked at a security company which handled the MN Vikings Security.  In 1977 they moved to the Karlstad area where they raised their three boys, Aaron, Jeremy, and Matthew.

Linda enjoyed reading and read most of the books by Danielle Steel and Stephen King.  She enjoyed going to rummage sales and thrift stores with her mom, Ruth.  She loved Mexican food, especially the Paradiso where she could get a good Strawberry Marguerita.  She loved her dog Furby.

Linda Levenhagen passed away on May 24, 2015 at Valley Elder Care in Grand Forks.  She was 55 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel of Strandquist; children, Aaron and wife Jennifer Evenson of Grand Forks, ND, Jeremy Levenhagen of Moorhead, MN and Matthew  Levenhagen (special friend Nikki) of Halstad, MN; grandchildren, Aidan and Anika Evenson, and Lola Levenhagen; brother, Roger Thompson, and her mother Ruth Thompson (special friend Marcel Gobeil).  She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Lloyd Thompson in 2009, her maternal and paternal grandparents, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
