Judith Valerie Palm

Funeral services for Judy Palm of Roosevelt will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11 AM at the Warroad Baptist Church south of Warroad.  Visitation will be one hour prior with interment at the Moe-Rose Cemetery.

Judith Valerie Palm of Roosevelt, MN, passed away on January 21, 2015 at her home in Warroad at the age of 74.

Judy was born on April 2, 1940 in America Township south of Warroad, MN to Ruth (Sutliff) and John J. Brandli.  She graduated from Warroad High School in 1957.  She and Robert “Bob” Palm were married at the Rose Lutheran Church in Roseau on August 8, 1958.  Judy worked at the Security State Bank in Warroad, before starting her career with the Warroad School District.  She worked as a secretary for 45 years, before retiring in 2002.

Judy enjoyed puzzles, reading, driving around, going to casinos, traveling; but mostly spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She will be remembered as a hard-worker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and someone who always cared for others.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Dale) Welin of Roosevelt, Robbie Palm (Shirley Huiras) of Warroad, Dave Palm (Jennifer Tyler) of Roosevelt and Kathryn (Brent) Welin of Roseau; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob in 2009; daughter, Joann; and siblings, Don, Frank, Sam, Marie, Rose, Francis, Harriet, Marge, and Ruth.
