Memorial services for Jeff Fichter of Roseau, MN will be held on Thursday, July 28th at 11 AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau. Interment will be at the Hope Cemetery.
Jeffrey "Jeff" Fichter, 63, of Roseau, MN, died Sunday, July 24, 2016, at his home in Roseau.
A memorial service will be held at the Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe Elick officiating. Interment will be in the Hope Cemetery in Roseau, MN immediately following the service.
Jeffrey Owen Fichter was born on February 23, 1953 to Ellen (Roseen) and Harold Fichter in Roseau, MN. He graduated from Roseau High School and went to work at Marvins in Warroad, MN. After many years of employment in Warroad, he transferred to Polaris Industries of Roseau as part of the office cleaning crew.
Jeff was a lifelong fan of popular music, evidenced by his massive collection of albums and cd's. He enjoyed listening to and talking about his favorite artists. He could often be seen scooting around Roseau on his motorcycle, a hobby he maintained until failing health made it difficult. Along with his special friend, Catherine (Kathy) Knutson, he welcomed a series of cats into his home. The cats became the center of his everyday family.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents and by his special friend, Kathy. He is survived by his sister, Nancy (Gary) Erickson, Bemidji, MN, niece, Catherine Erickson, Sartell, MN, a nephew, Stephen (Alyssa) Erickson, great niece, Malin Erickson, and great nephew, Henrik Erickson, all of Maple Grove, MN, and numerous cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11 AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau. Visitation will be one hour prior with interment at Hope Cemetery in Roseau.
