Jeanne A. Johnson passed away on July 10, 2017 at her son and daughter-in-law’s home in Hanover, MN at the age of 79.
Jeanne was born on December 4, 1937 in Elk Point, SD to Eva (Lanning) and Frank Hungate. She grew up in Pickstown,SD where she graduated from high school. She went to college in South Dakota and received her master’s degree in school psychology from the University of Alabama. She and Dean Johnson were married and lived in Plymouth, MN where Jeanne worked over thirty years for school district #287 as a school psychologist.
Jeanne and Dean moved to Duluth, MN and wintered in Florida for over twenty years. Jeanne loved travelling, spending time in the outdoors, and fishing on Lake of the Woods. The Black Hills of South Dakota was a special place for her.
Jeanne is survived by her son, Brad (Angela) Johnson of Hanover, MN; grandchildren, Brittany Fure and Collin Sohn; brother and sister-in-law Bob (Deanne) Bossman; and nieces Debbie, Connie, Suzy and Becky whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; and her parents, Frank and Eva.
Graveside services will be held at Wabanica Cemetery in Baudette, MN on Saturday, July 29th at 2 PM.
