Elvia Mae Kofstad-Malles, 90 years of age, passed away on August 15, 2017, at the Warroad Senior Living Center.
Elvia was born March 13, 1927, in Warroad, MN to the late Albin and Dorothy Kofstad. She was second out of five children. She was predeceased by her brothers Dewey, Duane, and Beno Kofstad.
In 1945 Elvia graduated from Queen Anne High School in Seattle, WA. She moved to California and attended Foothill College in Los Gatos, CA, to receive a degree in accounting. She was a member of/belonged to the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting and knitting. The family moved to Los Altos, CA, then to Camano Island, WA, and then Elvia spent her last few months in Warroad, MN.
Elvia married the late Theodore Nau in 1956 and second husband Michael Malles in 1976.
She is survived by her sister, Janet (Richard) Prosser of Eagan, MN, son Warren Bruce Nau (Angie) of Chandler, AZ and daughter Cathy Nau of Camano Island, WA; grandchildren, Anna Criss (Josh) of Crawford, TX, Warren Steven Nau (Kristine) Chandler, AZ, Eric Nau (Stefani) of Bartlett, TN; great-grandchildrenJoshua Criss, Jordayn Criss, Warren David Nau, Austin Nau, Shelby Nau, Danielle Hau-Hughes(Skiiller), Alexa Nau, Tyler Nau, and late twin Dylan Nau.
Memorial services Monday, August 21st at 10:30 AM at the Warroad Senior Center, 1401 Lake Street NW, Warroad, MN.
