A Memorial Service for Donald Buley of Roseau will be held on Saturday, February 28, at the Moe Lutheran Church in Roseau at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:00 -2:00 on Saturday, February 28, at the church. Interment will be at the Malung cemetery.
Donald was born in Roseau on October 1, 1936 to Ida (Olson) and Walter Buley. He grew up and attended school in Malung, MN.
Donald served in the United Stated Air Force for 23 years. After retiring from the military he worked as a diesel mechanic, hauled milk and cut and hauled pulp. He also worked for several farmers in the area. He was a very hard working man.
In younger years Don enjoyed fishing and took several chartered fishing trips. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and outdoor activities. He also liked to dance.
Donald Buley passed away on February 19, 2015 at Valley Elder Care in Grand Forks, ND. He was 78 years old.Don is survived by his children: Dawn (Darren) Fougner of Aneta, ND, Donald Buley Jr., Karen Gurney of Bedfordshire, Englund, and Helen Buley; brothers: Luverne Buley of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Douglas Buley of International Falls, MN, and Dale (Pam) Buley of Salol, MN; sisters, Donna Church of Quincy, Illinois, Shirley Holton of Springfield, Missouri, and a sister-in-law Marlene Buley of Roseau, MN; grandchildren, Damian and Daltan Hassel, Devyn and Dawson Fougner, Elouise, Emma, Stephen, David, Loreen, Wendy, Tayla, and Dean; great-granchildren, Eli and Annalise Porraz, Huntley Kelley, Joanne, Isabelle, Evie, Grace, Olivia, Billy, Charlie, Joshua.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Walter, brother Lyle, sister Audrey Tveit, and granddaughters, Mercedes Rowley and Teja Beyer.
