A Memorial Service for Daryl C. Taralseth of Baudette, MN will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 3:00PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date.
Daryl C. Taralseth 85 years old, passed away January 15, 2018 in Bemidji, MN. Daryl is survived by his wife Marlys of Baudette, MN; daughter, Cornelia (Robert) Tietel of Searles, MN; son, Gaberial (Debra) Taralseth of Baudette, MN; daughter, Gwendolyn (Steve Rickheim) Reeves of Winthrop, MN; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a very close and special friend, Roger Tabbert of Gibbon, MN; sister, LaVonne (Loren) Gates; brother-in-law, Loren Stark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Joyce Taralseth; sister, Donna (Andy) Anderson; brother, Lonnie Taralseth; nephew, Eric Taralseth; parents-in-law, Milton and Karen Stark; brother-in-law, Neil (Madeline) Stark; sister-in-law, Karen Engelby.
Daryl was born on May 22, 1932 son of Alfred and Joyce (Larson) Taralseth of rural Sibley County, MN. On September 21, 1950 Daryl married his wife Marlys Stark. They enjoyed 67 years together. They have three children, which gave them nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Daryl worked at everything from farming, driving semi, county snow plowing, hardware store, plumbing and heating, part owner of a land drainage business and grain elevator operations. He was also a volunteer for the Gibbon, MN Fire and Rescue. Whatever you needed help with Daryl could do. At age 62, Daryl retired and moved to Baudette, MN with his wife. Daryl enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, wood working and music of all type. Daryl and his wife also enjoyed traveling around the United States in their motor home. They really enjoyed touring the great light houses in the northern states. Most of all Daryl enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
