A Funeral Service for Damario Devon Guy Rhen will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00AM at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Badger, MN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016, from 5-7PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN with a devotional at 7:00. Interment will be held at a later date.

Damario Rhen passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the age of 23.

Damario Davon Guy Rhen was born in Robbinsdale, MN on Feburary 21, 1992 to Eric and Diane Guy.  He was raised in the Minneapolis and Richfield, MN areas. He attended Anoka Elementary, Hall Elementary in Minneapolis and Richfield Middle School.  While there he was active in school musicals and talent shows.  He enjoyed playing basketball with his brothers and cousins. 

In 2005 he moved to Badger, MN with his brothers Marcus and Jacquan and joined the Rhen family.  He continued his love of music and sports, by playing baseball, football, track, and basketball and participating in the choir and school musicals. He graduated from Badger High School in May of 2010.  Mario was confirmed at Our Redeemer’s Church in Badger, MN.  

After graduation Mario moved to Lancaster and worked on the Jim and Kelly Hewitt farm.  He loved helping out and riding horses.  For a month in 2012, Mario went to Haiti and volunteered at Ruuska Village Orphanage.

He then moved back to the Roseau and Badger area and worked at local businesses. He went to Minneapolis and worked as well as spent time with his family there.

He will be remembered for his wide warm smile.  He was a friend to those he met, he was exuberant and quick with a joke.  Mario was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Damario is survived by his parents, Mitchell and Carol Rhen; mother, Diane Guy; grandmother, Mary Guy; brothers, Damarcus Rhen, Jacquan Rhen, Brian Rhen, Alexander Rhen, Brent Witthoeft, Eric Guy, Deonte Guy; sisters, Sheila (Chris) Cooper, Lisa (Dale) Ginther, Mazela Rhen, Elianne Rhen, Widelyne Rhen, Erica Rhen; nieces and nephews, Malachi Witthoeft, Monica, Andrew and Maci Cooper, Anna, Noah, and Will Ginther, Arianna and Christopher Guy, Savannah Guy, Onbree and Goddess Smith.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eric Lamont Guy.
