Carlyle M. Mugaas of Roseau, MN was born on September 27, 1931 to Peder and Esther (Ruud) Mugaas in Gatzke, MN. He grew up in Gatzke and attended school through the 8th grade. Carlyle worked as a mechanic in Gatzke for many years before getting married in 1972 and moving to Roseau. In Roseau he started his business Roseau Cleaning Systems, and was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Carlyle is survived by his family.
