Funeral services for Ardith Ostlund of Wannaska, MN will be held on Thursday, June 8th at 11 AM at Riverside Lutheran Church in Wannaska, MN. A visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at the Mickinock Cemetery.
Ardith Norma Ostlund passed away on May 31, 2017 at the Milestone Senior Living Center in Faribault, MN at the age of 91.
Ardith was born on August 16, 1925 in Mickinock Township of Roseau County to Martha (Kalhovde) and William Williamson. She attended county school in Mickinock Township and later graduated from Roseau High School. She and Lester Ostlund were married on November 20, 1952. They lived in Grygla, MN for 20 years. They moved to Wannaska, MN in 1973, where they farmed. In addition to her work on the farm, Ardith worked at Bolin’s Grocery Store in Wannaska and at Marvin Windows and Doors.
Ardith will be remembered as a hard-worker and a fabulous baker, most known for her sandbakkels. She was a member of Riverside Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide.
She is survived by her son, Robbie (Kim) Ostlund of Faribault, MN; grandson, Tyler Freyholtz; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and William; brothers, Kenneth, Martin, and Allen and sisters, Margaret and Clarice.
