In 1934, James A. Helgeson and his wife, Gladys, moved to Roseau, Minnesota, to start Helgeson Funeral Home and Furniture Store in downtown Roseau. Jim’s sons later joined the funeral home, Roger in 1962, and Mark in 1968. 

In January of 2000, the third generation, Jon and Peter Helgeson purchased the business from their fathers. In April of 2021, Nick Kvidt purchased the business from Jon. 

Since the beginning, our family has served people from all walks of life, and they continue to offer a wide selection of services for people in northwest Minnesota.
