Darlene Tillberg passed away on December 23rd 2007 at her home in Salol, MN at the age of 71.
Darlene Delores Johnson was born on February 12, 1936 in Duxby, MN to Orville and Dorothy (Dahlquist) Johnson. She attended the Baptist Church in Roseau and was baptized at the age of 12. She was married to Larry Tillberg in 1978. She worked at Marvin Windows for 31 years, and together, they owned the Timberline Trailer Court for many years. She enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling with friends, quilting, crafts, traveling in their motor-home, and spending time with her family and friends. She had a zest for life, living it to the fullest. She was hard-working, making many happy memories, and had a strong influence on her children who will miss her deeply.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Larry Tillberg of Salol; daughter, Mary Beth (John) Brown of Warroad; sons, Bill (Sonya) Lewis, JR. of Cromwell, MN and Gary (Barb) Lewis of New Prague, MN; two step-children, Gary (Carol) Tillberg of Badger and Carla (Richard) Sunsdahl of Roseau; ten grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are her siblings, Orlean (Beth) Johnson of San Antonio, TX, LeRoy (Camille) Johnson of Wauwatosa, WI, Orville Johnson, Jr. of Denver, CO, Mava Jean (Allan) Semrau of Williston, ND and Kathryn (Don) Schill of Pueblo, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Dorothy; and one brother, Delano.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28th at 2 PM at the Warroad Baptist Church. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 PM with a 6:30 prayer service at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad. Interment will be at the America Cemetery in Warroad.
