Sara L. Corneliusen

A Funeral Service for Sara L. Corneliusen of Badger, MN. will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held on hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Badger City Cemetery at a later date.

Sara L. Corneliusen passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at the age of 37.

Sara Lynn Johnson was born on October 20, 1975 in Thief River Falls, MN to Stanley Johnson and Ina (Johnson) Newton. Sara was baptized at Black River Lutheran Church in St. Hilaire, MN and later confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Sara attended school in Thief River Falls, MN. Sara married Ryan Corneliusen in 1997 in Roseau, MN. They lived in Thief River Falls then moved back to Roseau until their divorce. Sara worked for many years at Subway, Hardees, Wally’s, and prairie community services. After the flood of 2002 Sara moved to Badger where she made her home. Sara has three boys and she loved her boys more than anything, she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, sudoko, and playing games with her children. Most of all Sara loved telling everyone she met stories about her boys, and would say every day how proud she was of them and how much she loved them. Sara was such a caregiver she did many things for many people. Her house was home to all the kids in town and she loved them all.

Sara is survived by her three wonderful boys, Devin, Derrick, and Dalton; her parents; sisters, Becky (Darrin) Weigel, Melissa (Steven) Gust, Mali Newton; Nieces and Nephews, Dannielle, Branden, Colton, Kalelyn, Kaylie, Alex; great-nephew, Bryer; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; grandmothers, Juliet Johnson, Lillian Newton; stepfather, Rodney Newton.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Carl (Lavonne) Johnson, Norman Johnson; uncles, Terry and Art Johnson; aunt, Rachel Acosta; cousins, Tiffany and Madison.
